Mom was born in Lodi, California on October 18, 1927. She was 2nd generation Visayan Filipina.
The world has never been the same.
Growing up with her 6 siblings, Mom was vivacious, tenacious, colorful, spirited, fun loving, athletic, a GREAT dancer, a WONDERFUL singer, and so BEAUTIFUL. She and her sister, Virgie often sang harmony together.
Mom always made you feel right at home. I remember all the parties Mom and Dad had at our home. The wafting aroma of delicious food was ever present, the reel to reel tape deck always recording as Mom sang, while Dad accompanied her on his guitar. The atmosphere was one of warmth, comfort, and enjoyment. She was, indeed, a SPECIAL individual, a great MOM to her 6 children, very close to her 3 sisters and 3 brothers, Helen, Florence, Virgie, Wala, Tito, and Glenn, and a happy-go-lucky Auntie to her many nieces and nephews.
The song "All of Me" was one of her most favorite songs to sing. She also loved Butterflies, and had a special jewelry collection of them.
